Temple Run 2 races to 20 million downloads in 4 days

Imangi Studios have released a sequel to their smash hit Temple Run game. And judging by the number of downloads, it has jumped past its predecessor in a big way. This game has only been released in the iOS store as of now but it has been downloaded more than 20 million times in just four days! Of these, the first day alone accounted  for 6 million downloads.

By comparison, Angry Birds Space was launched on a number of platforms but managed only 10 million downloads in the first 3 days. The original Temple Run game has so far racked up around 170 million downloads across various platforms. Temple Run 2  became the number one free app in the app store in just 6 hours. Although it is free to download, you can make in app purchases like coins for getting access to power ups and other features. These purchases have pushed its position on the highest grossing apps list. With an Android version on the way, this game is sure to duplicate its success in the Google Play Store as well.
