All were preparing to re-enter the workforce after career breaks.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1233\" data-end=\"1302\">What distinguished this initiative was the organisation\u2019s philosophy.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1304\" data-end=\"1494\">The engagement was <strong data-start=\"1323\" data-end=\"1353\">not designed as a workshop<\/strong>. Instead, it was structured as a <strong data-start=\"1387\" data-end=\"1493\">collaborative capability-building process involving participants, their managers, and leadership teams<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1496\" data-end=\"1521\">This distinction matters.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1523\" data-end=\"1757\">Career reintegration is rarely just about individual readiness. In many organisations it is fundamentally an <strong data-start=\"1632\" data-end=\"1667\">organisational design challenge <\/strong>aligning role expectations, leadership support, and structural pathways for contribution.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1759\" data-end=\"1818\">Throughout the sessions, several tangible outcomes emerged.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1820\" data-end=\"2048\">A marketing leader worked with her manager to <strong data-start=\"1866\" data-end=\"1896\">redefine her re-entry role<\/strong>, combining prior leadership experience with new cross-functional responsibilities focused on <strong data-start=\"1990\" data-end=\"2047\">digital engagement and AI-enabled capability building<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2050\" data-end=\"2259\">A finance professional repositioned her return from a purely functional role to a <strong data-start=\"2132\" data-end=\"2166\">strategic operations interface<\/strong>, strengthening collaboration between reporting, compliance, and leadership decision support.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2261\" data-end=\"2451\">Another participant from HR and L&amp;D partnered with leadership to <strong data-start=\"2326\" data-end=\"2383\">develop a knowledge-transfer and mentoring initiative<\/strong>, using her experience to reinforce internal capability development.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2453\" data-end=\"2536\">What made these shifts possible was the partnership model underlying the programme.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2538\" data-end=\"2723\">Participants brought <strong data-start=\"2559\" data-end=\"2589\">experience and perspective<\/strong>.<br data-start=\"2590\" data-end=\"2593\" \/>Managers brought <strong data-start=\"2610\" data-end=\"2647\">context and operational alignment<\/strong>.<br data-start=\"2648\" data-end=\"2651\" \/>The organisation created the <strong data-start=\"2680\" data-end=\"2722\">structure that enabled both to succeed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2725\" data-end=\"2888\">Over the past <strong data-start=\"2739\" data-end=\"2763\">seven to eight years<\/strong>, I have had the opportunity to facilitate <strong data-start=\"2806\" data-end=\"2853\">25 extended capability engagements globally<\/strong>.
