IFTTT<\/a> is a service that lets you create powerful connections with one simple statement ~ “IF THIS THEN THAT<\/a>”<\/p>\n

This site let’s you CREATE “Triggers” as in “Alerts” for stuff that you would need to be TRIGGERED” about.<\/p>\n

For eg. The Jump in the weather<\/strong> before you start your day, the Stock Market<\/a> Rush<\/strong>, An Etsy <\/a>sale<\/strong>, A Sports Update<\/strong>, Photo or File download on your DROPBOX <\/a>etc<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The process is called, creating a “RECIPE<\/span><\/strong>“. Once you click on CREATE (as image below) then you can select the TRIGGER “IFTHISTHENTHAT” by clicking on “this<\/span><\/strong>” (as image below)<\/p>\n

In the above case, we chose “WEATHER”<\/p>\n

It then asks us to Choose the Trigger point as in, if the weather rises or drops …… and so on….<\/p>\n

It then asks you to Assign the ACTION channel by choosing “THAT” as image below<\/p>\n

You can choose to receive an update from any of the options given by them. Ofcourse, it requires you to authenticate the same.<\/p>\n

But looking beyond weather update or just stock tips, or sports news, there are scores of interesting ways this app \/ website can be put to use.<\/p>\n
