I have been a fan of Batman ever since I saw the Batmobile in the animated series when I was 9 years old. Which is why, today, is an important day for millions of fans like me across the world as the legendary iconic fictional superhero celebrates his 75th Year.<\/p>\n

In honor of Batman’s 75th anniversary, DC\u00a0Entertainment<\/a> is partnering with thousands of comic
\nbook retailers and bookstores coast-to-coast to\u00a0celebrate “National Batman Day”<\/a> on Wednesday, July\u00a023.<\/p>\n

Batman is without a doubt one of the most popular fictional superhero of all times. He appears in\u00a0American comic books published by DC Comics coupled with movies, television shows, and\u00a0video games.<\/p>\n

He was created by Bob Kane<\/span> and Bill\u00a0Finger<\/span> in 1939.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The story behind the fictional character BATMAN: <\/span><\/p>\n

Millionaire Bruce Wayne<\/span> who is also know as the Prince of Gotham, was just a kid when he watched his parents get gunned down during a mugging in their very own Gotham City. To avenge the death of his parents, he dedicates himself to fight crime as the caped crusader – The\u00a0Batman<\/span>.<\/p>\n

He has been characterized as a brilliant detective with great mastery in multitude of\u00a0fighting\u00a0techniques. He is often showcased as a loner who lives in his own ‘real-world’ in the fictional stories.<\/p>\n

His knowledge and expertise in almost every\u00a0discipline known to man is nearly unparalleled by any\u00a0other character in the DC Universe. Superman\u00a0considers Batman to be one of the most brilliant\u00a0minds on the planet.<\/p>\n

Batman has no inherent superhuman powers. To\u00a0compensate for this, he relies on “his own scientific\u00a0knowledge, detective skills, and athletic\u00a0prowess.” In the stories, Batman is regarded as\u00a0one of the world’s greatest detectives.<\/p>\n

The NAME “BRUCE WAYNE<\/span>“<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The name “Bruce Wayne” was chosen for certain connotations. According to co-creator Bill Finger, “Bruce Wayne’s first name came from Robert Bruce, the Scottish patriot. Wayne, being a playboy, was a man of gentry. I searched for a name that would suggest colonialism. I tried Adams, Hancock…then I thought of Mad Anthony Wayne.<\/p>\n
