It is popularly known as <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Stephen Covey\u2019s Big Rocks story<\/span>. In this, Covey asks you to imagine a bucket and then put three or four big rocks in it. He then asks you whether the bucket is full? and the answer is obviously No. He\u00a0then says, put in some smaller rocks to fill in the gaps and asks you the same question and then follows it by adding sand and water in it. Now it&#8217;s full you say!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-7988\" src=\"http:\/\/www.techdivine.com\/tdblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/pablo-3-683x1024.png\" alt=\"stephen covey big rocks story\" width=\"300\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.techdivine.com\/tdblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/pablo-3-683x1024.png 683w, https:\/\/www.techdivine.com\/tdblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/pablo-3-200x300.png 200w, https:\/\/www.techdivine.com\/tdblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/pablo-3.png 734w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The logic focuses on the &#8216;order of doing things&#8217;. Which means, \u00a0instead of adding the big things first, assuming you would have started by adding water, sand and so on&#8230; the big rocks would no longer fit in.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">At this point Covey points out that these big rocks are infact the important things in your life.\u00a0So these need to be your priority.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Of course, there are also debates on this theory because each person has their own set of BIG ROCKS! So it becomes at times difficult to prioritize and draw a line on where and when to stop adding things as part of your &#8220;to-do list&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Why? Because there is the aspect of TIME MANAGEMENT in consideration.
