Paramparik Karigar Event has begun: Art’s looking gorgeous!

That’s right.

The much awaited stunning masterpieces by some of the most wonderful & skilled Mastercraftsmen in India is on display at the Coomaraswamy Hall, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (former Prince of Wales Museum) from October 13th 2010.

The event received great response on it’s opening day itself and the inauguration was made grand with Mrs.Neerja Birla lighting the auspicious lamp and giving the wonderful event by Paramparik Karigar a superb start.

3. Workshop Details:

What’s more, you can also have a chance to bring to life the artist hidden in you. Learn how to create your own masterpiece at the Paramparik Karigar workshop.

Date: 13 to27 October 2010

Timings: 10am to 4.30pm

Workshops: Soof embroidery, Phulkari embroidery, Kantha embroidery, Lehariya (Tie &Dye), Papier Mache, Leather puppets, Phad painting, Pichwai painting, Miniature Painting & natural colour making, , Pattachitra Painting, Palm leaf etching and Gondh painting.

Workshops for Art & Craft, Gondh Painting,

  • Registration fees – One day intensive workshop- Rs 500/-
  • Two days intensive workshops –Rs 1000/-

Note- Above mentioned fee is applicable on per individual basis (limited seats available) Registrations will be done at the Museum Publication Counter/office from 6th September 2010 onwards.
Timings: from 10.30am- 4.30pm (except Public Holidays). Working Lunch will be provided
