3) What does digital marketing and social media mean to you:

Digital marketing and social media both hold great importance in my life. While the former has helped me make my business successful the latter has helped me meet the best of people whom I wouldn’t have met otherwise. Both of these ‘tools’ are easily accessible and can be used from any corner of the world. So if I am lost on an Island that doesn’t have internet access, my life would probably be worthless until I find something artsy to do at the Island.

4) Share few snippets or a brief story on how you got started in this amazing journey:

Every great journey is an unexpected one and so was mine. I had only made one dream catcher for my best friend’s birthday after which I was flooded with praises on how good it had turned out in the first and only attempt and I should make more for selling purpose. At first, I was skeptical because not many knew what a dream catcher was or for that matter, about its significance. Then I gradually began making a few for friends and family and then I officially named this relationship I had going on with my handmade work. That’s how Chimerical Creativity came into existence. Since then it’s been a positive journey of handcrafting gifts for a tons of clients across the globe.

5)How has Digital marketing or social media helped you in your business, passion or journey so far:

Social Media has boosted my passionate business journey immensely, overtime. Initially I only had my work shared on my Facebook Page but after I created an Instagram account there was a huge difference in the rate of orders per week. The organic reach of a varied audience is far better on Instagram than on Facebook. Comparatively there is more activity on Instagram than on my Facebook Page from the audience. Till date I have never paid a penny to social media websites to promote my work so you can say I haven’t yet entirely made use of Digital Marketing. Although in future, I shall look into that as well, to get a much greater reach with like minded audiences.

5) What do you feel will change in terms of how digital is used in your field in the year 2017:

I feel this year we will see many old brands and new ones using the digital media more extensively to promote their products/brands as last year has proven to help a lot of others reach their desired audiences and targets. Even old-school professions are seen taking a step closer to the digital world. Many high-end, local and international brands approach Fashion or Lifestyle bloggers to promote their products on Social Media and the impact is indeed positive and profitable for both the parties involved in the collaboration.

6)What aspect of digital or site or tool or feature has helped you the most in your business, passion, journey till date and what has changed the most in the past few years:

On Instagram the #hashtag feature works wonders and has helped me the most in reaching the precise audience. The number of people that use social media sites has increased over the past few years and that has given a boost to all aspects in my business, making it easier to share my latest work and get instant orders not only from Mumbai but throughout India and even internationally!

7) Your most memorable journey memory till date that happened because of digital marketing and your business or brand or passion integrated as one:

Each time a client gives me positive feedback, it’s a memorable moment. Seeing pictures of my handmade dream catchers in their home, in their car or them wearing the dream catcher accessories, leaves me with a smile throughout the day! The joy and appreciation clients receive from their loved ones after being gifted my handmade products, makes me feel like I am doing the best job in the world, spreading love and happiness in my own way and tightening bonds between people! Nothing is more memorable than all the amazing feedback and appreciation.

8) What are your plans for 2017 with respect to what you do on a day to day basis in terms of following your passion or dreams? Any new additions to your plan or strategy or goals, feel free to share with us.

My plan for this year is to make my brand more known for its creativity rather than the outline of the product (i.e a dream catcher) as there in immense competition in this field now and it’s important to let people know I chose creativity and quality over quantity. As I am also a certified Graphic Designer, I shall soon launch my own designed products on paper in various forms, under my brand name. The designs will be a mixture of quirky & elegant designs on various surfaces. After all, we are crafters for dreamers!
