TIMELINE:
The power of TIMELINE is here! Share your STORY by adding in as much details about You, Your BRAND as you can.
This could be the Story behind your Logo, Brand name, History, how it all began, the progress and changes over the years & more. Engage the audience with interesting snippets by using timeline feature dating back to ‘when it all began’.
Brand Mentions:
Listen more closely to what your “Friends” are saying about Your Brand Pages. That’s right, Brand monitoring has become more crucial & important than ever before with the new “activity” & brand mentions streaming that appears at the right side of the brand page area. This tells you, who amongst your friends have “liked” “shared” “mentioned” etc about that particular brand page. Unfortunately there is no way as of now to control the “Positive/Negative” mentions, so anything and everything that is said, appears on the Brand page. So make sure you are listening.
Coupons & Sponsored Ads:
More prominence to Advertising: Advertise your Coupons (Coming soon) by creating them directly in Facebook. This also includes sponsored ads or stories. The idea and amazing thing about this is, it makes for a great organic reach wherein users can themselves promote “coupons” with their friends.
No more Welcome Tab or Landing Page: But an all new COVER Page Option is here:
Welcome tab (which was the core for any Brand page) is now off the shelf as there is no option for ‘another landing page’. The main page or Brand wall page is the Landing page. So off with the Welcome tab and in comes the amazing option to Upload your BRAND Cover page. The size restriction makes your creative brains go round about to come up with the best possible brand page design that speaks ton of your brand, services and other social platforms connect. So make sure, your cover page says it all. Also, since its just like uploading any other picture, it would be great if “consumer products or b2c based brands” make it a point to update their cover page with some new image at least fortnightly. Sample size that you could work with 900 (W) X335 (H) (Margin & padding area included) for your cover page. Make sure you resize it a bit to fit into the screen area of the cover page image.
Content RULES:
More so than ever before, Content truly is the King. With majority of the tabs or apps area becoming less prominent, make sure to Power up your Blog posts, tweets and keep sharing them so as to encourage and engage more users to consume them.
Message Your Fans Directly & keep it Private:
The power to Message your fans / users directly and make the conversation go ‘private’ is finally here with the new messages option.
Pin up Or Highlight your Top Posts:
Highlight your TOP POST and say to your fans “This is what’s making news” with your BRAND this week. This is simply awesome, as it allows you to put those contests, offers, top news right where they belong.
