Twitter brings image filters to apps, new profile pages to all users

In a bid to hold its ground against Instagram and the likes, Twitter has announced an update to its app which will now allow users to edit their images and add image filters before tweeting them. Twitter in its blog post said it would be available on both Android and iOS.

On adding a photo, you are now shown this snazzy edit photo window. The wand on the bottom left “Auto -enhances” the image with balanced light and colors. You can swipe the image to check out the various filters on offer or even better, click on the second button, i.e the concentric circles to get a birds eye view of the image previewed with all filters available. There are 8 filters present as of now that include Vignette, Black & White, Warm, Cool, Cinematic, Happy, Gritty and Vintage.

The last button allows you to move and scale the image. You can either preserve the original shot or zoom into a square frame to capture focus and bring attention to a particular spot. That’s it! You can now tweet your pic to your friends and followers and share your photographic experiences with them.
