Social Media  – Sharing and caring:

As promised, here is our survey conducted last month with few of our members about “What do they use to get their daily dose of information from?”

The results were astonishing:

The information we referred to were given under following sub-categories:

  1. Industry News
  2. Freebies
  3. New Tools or Applications
  4. Fun and Games

    Our 1200 members who took the survey:

    • 62% – Working Professionals (22 to 60 Years)
    • 22% – Housewives (25 to 35 years)
    • 10%  – Teenagers and College Students (16 – 21 years)
    • 6% – Others

    Results were:

    Social Media Information News Survey

    Facebook – Prominently used for Sharing (Industry News / Colleagues & Peers Updates / Market Watch / Sharing Research reports / Fun Images and Videos / Games)

    Twitter – Used more for Instantaneous clicks on New tools / Freebies / New Product and Service

    Bookmarking (Social tools & BLOGS)  – Tech updates mainly and new Technology based tools  / Software reviews and Recommendations

    Emails –  Used majorly only to communicate long messages or forwarded mails

    Linkedin – Used more by Job seekers or those looking for a career change
