In a move that will give open source software a boost in the public eye, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has chosen Ubuntu as the base for an operating system that is more suitable for Chinese users. It will go by the name of Ubuntu Kylin and will be released by April.

Google has just launched a note taking app which can also be accessed via the web. Its integrated with Google Drive which is Google’s cloud storage service.
