Top Technology News Update from Google and Apple

Top Technology News Update from Google and Apple

Christmas might just have come early for gadget lovers with both Google and Apple making back to back event announcements.

Apple invitation

The first announcement was made by Apple when it sent out invites for an event at the California Theatre in San Jose on 23 October, with the tagline “We’ve got a little more to show you”.  Rumours are abundant that this might be the launch event for the iPad mini, Apple’s reply to the hugely successful Nexus 7 budget tablet from Google. The Tablet market is already abuzz with Microsoft’s Surface tablet just being available for pre-order and new versions of Amazon’s Kindles selling briskly.

Google Event Invite

Hot on the heels of Apple’s event, Google sent out invites for an event on October 29th in New York. This could be to reveal the latest iteration of Android as well as the next Nexus device. There have been a lot of image leaks of a LG Nexus device, so this might just be unveiled officially here. The invite has the caption “The playground is open” which might imply devices from other manufacturers as well. The event will be streamed live at Youtube.com/android

Both dates aren’t far off so the suspense should be revealed before long. Stay tuned to our blog or our facebook page for updates from both these events.
