Google to launch a commenting platform to rival Facebook & Disqus
Google to launch a commenting platform to rival Facebook & Disqus
Unconfirmed reports abound that Google is about to launch its own commenting platform along the lines of what Facebook and Disqus have established. The actual impact of this can only be analysed after it is launched. But we can be sure of one thing that this somehow ties in with Google Plus & providing better search results.
The commenting service to be made available on third party sites might be similar to Google’s “Search, plus your world” service which showed up user comments from Google plus in your results. We can be assured that the commenting platform would be deeply integrated with other Google services as well.
It remains to be seen whether this platform is adopted quickly or takes time to penetrate akin to Google Plus. This just seems to be a move by Google to take over almost all aspects of the web from search to comments. Whether this turns out to be good move or backfires remains to be seen.
Let us know what you feel about Google’s latest bid to take over the web. We will keep you updated as events unfold. Stay connected. Ciao.
